Uno no puede ir a España, y aún menos a Madrid, y no comprar alpargatas. Casa Hernanz es sin duda la más conocida de todas las “alpargaterias”. Por supuseto tendrá que hacer cola… Pero vale la pena volver a su país con 4 o 5 pares de alpargatas...Y estamos seguros de que lo hará.!..

Just got back from Madrid. Love the espadrilles at Casa Hernanz. Don't be intimidated by the line. It moves quickly and is well worth the wait.

Espadrilles of all kinds and all colors in the shop at affordable prices. The best way to get here is through Plaza Mayor. Calle de Toledo is south of Plaza Mayor. Be ready to wait in line. Staff of the shop is accommodating and patient.
