Most post offices in Madrid are open from 8am to 7pm, Monday to Friday, and from 8am to midday on Saturday. They are closed on public holidays.
Public services in Madrid generally close at 6pm. They are closed at lunchtime and on public holidays.

8:30am - 2:00pm
Post Offices:
8:00am to 7:00pm
Banks in Madrid are open from Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 2pm. Commissions are appreciably variable from one bank to another. It is better not to obtain change in banks located near the monuments and places of interest. In fact it is better to have travelers checks in Euros or use your credit or debit card.
